There's something about the warm weather that is so refreshing. We've spent a lot of time in our rooms and houses this year, so take the time to reset it for the upcoming year. The best and more important part is that spring cleaning can be as intense or casual as you want. If you're looking for a place to start, here are some of my go-to spring cleaning tasks that can totally upgrade your mood and space.

Make a list of everything you want to get done

Spring cleaning can be overwhelming. I've definitely started too many projects at once and then was left scrambling to finish them. Avoid that problem by writing down everything you want to get done during spring cleaning and don't feel like you have to do everything all at once.

Pack away your winter clothes

The warm weather is right around the corner, so all of those winter coats shouldn't be taking up so much room in your closet anymore. Put your sweatshirts and sweatpants in bins and you'll be impressed by the amount of room you have for cute spring outfits.

Get rid of your old makeup and products

I'm totally guilty of holding onto random products for way too long. Clear out space in your bathroom by getting rid of the products that have either expired or you just don't use anymore.

This one might be obvious, but wiping down your desk or counter can just make everything smell and look a little extra clean.

Be honest about what clothes you're going to wear

I'm so guilty of never getting rid of random pieces of clothes because I think I'm going to wear them eventually. If you've owned something for a long time and you never worn it, that's probably not going to change anytime soon so donate or up-cycle it instead.

Get rid of the applications you never use

Cleaning your space also includes your virtual space. Get rid of those apps, photos, and messages you never use.

Sometimes changing where you put things can spice things up a little bit. It might not sound like a lot, but it can make your space feel fresh.

Write down your goals for the new season

Whether it be a promise to vacuum or change your sheets every other week, write down your organization goals for the new season. This will help you stay on top of everything for the long haul. Make sure to jot it down in your planner or on your phone so you see it often.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
