Don't have spring break plans yet? These 5 ideas will help give you inspiration for what to do instead of just going home and chilling on the couch. Now is the time to have an adventure, even if it means staying around campus. Whether it is hitting the beach, going to an amusement park, hiking, or volunteering, everyone can have a worthwhile experience over break this year.

There is not much better than a trip to The Happiest Place On Earth. Bring some friends along and drive to Sleeping Beauty's castle. This will be a great time to meet your favorite Disney characters, go on some fun amusement park rides, eat delicious food, and enjoy your break with your closest pals.

2. Mission Trip

There are always a ton of mission trips to get involved with over break. This is an amazing opportunity to get away from campus and bring some help to people in need. Every area across the globe has places that need volunteers and missionaries. Not only will you be helping others, but you'll get to apart of God's mission and love for this world.

3. National Parks

Road trips are a great way to get the gang together and go somewhere exciting over break. National Parks bring an amazing sense of adventure that will get you into nature. They have beautiful sights and fun hikes that you can enjoy. Go to one or visit a few that are close by to see even more of God's creation.

4. Stay On Campus

There are great things to do right on campus or around town over break. This is an awesome time to relax, catch up on reading or shows you haven't been able to watch due to a busy schedule. Take the time to visit local restaurants or coffee shops you've been meaning to go to. Have movie nights with friends or go to the lake for some time in the sun. This is also a chance to go volunteer at a local shelter to do something helpful with your time if you can't go out of state for a mission trip. No matter what you do, staying on campus can still be a really fun and rejuvenating experience.

5. Go Overseas

If you have the budget, spring break is the perfect time to go on your dream vacation. This could be anywhere around the world that you want to travel to. There are areas that are less expensive that will still give an amazing experience overseas. This can be a time to go with friends or family to see another culture and check a bullet off of your bucket list.

Spring break is one of the best times to take a vacation from school and responsibility to do something exciting and worthwhile. Some may want to relax and hang out around town, others might enjoy traveling, and some may take this time to reach out to those in need. Regardless, I encourage everyone to make the most out of this upcoming week off to recharge and return to school prepared to finish off the year strong.

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
