If you're always on the hunt for something good to watch this spooky season look no further. Below is a compiled list of just ten of the best things to watch this October.

1. Hocus Pocus

After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison explores an abandoned house with his sister Dai and their new friend Allison. Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches who used to live in the house by lighting the black flame candle. Now, with the help of a magical cat (Zachary Binx) the kids have to steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal and reeking havoc on the children of Salem.

2. All the Halloween Town Movies

Marnie and her brother/sister get a big shock when they follow grandma home to Halloweentown- eventually realizing they come from a family of witches. The town is the only place where supernatural beings can lead a 'normal' life, but something is brewing. Not only does Marnie find out she is a witch, but she must also fight evil to save the rest of Halloween town/the world.

3. American Horror Story

A house haunted by murderous spirits, a Catholic insane asylum from the 60s, a coven of witches, a freak show starring some truly twisted characters, a hotel filled with serial killers run by a vampire, an isolated haunted shack that may hold the secrets to the disappearance of a Roanoke colony, a cult on the rise after the 2016 presidential election and the apocalypse.

4. ANY Tim Burton Movie

5. Monster House

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
