Spring is around the corner and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Just take a moment to think about all the blossoming plants, fresh produce, artsy pictures, vibrant flowy dresses, bike rides, and relaxing beach days. It’s just a wonderful time to look forward to. Gloomy winter days need to go! Music serves as a great way to get into the spring spirit. Which is why I’m currently in the process of creating a springtime playlist to help me ease into the flowering mood.

Here are a few songs that I think are perfect for springtime:

1. Those Days- KAASI

This one is definitely a bop. Like it will actually have you involuntarily bopping. The sounds and the chords are so soothing yet bouncy. It will instantly put you in a good mood and make you want to go to a music festival.

2. Location- Khalid

I will never stop loving this song. It’s one of those songs that I can’t get tired of despite it being overplayed last year. The wavy sounds mixed with Khalid’s soulful voice will make you want to fall in love and just go on an impromptu road trip while experiencing a rich sunset. Wow, I just love the vibe of this song.

3. Sky Walker- Miguel ft Travis Scott

I think this song is suitable for the drive to work or to a big event. The lyrics remind you to live in the moment and enjoy life while encouraging you to keep grinding for your dreams. This song is one of those that loosen you up and can make you feel less anxious.

4. Lemon- Rihanna, and N.E.R.D

First of all, everything about Rihanna excites me. As the cool kids say, “YASS QUEEN.” This is the type of song that you play in front of the mirror to hype yourself up. This track radiates confidence. It makes me want to dance in a floral yellow dress, drink 8 cups of water a day and take my vitamins. Just listen to this song when you need a reminder of how unique and amazing you are.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
