Sometimes when we are going through a very hard time and it seems like nothing in the world can go right or soften the blow. However, solace can often be found in music, or even some sort of outlet for your feelings or opinions that you have a hard time expressing otherwise. These songs have been on repeat on my playlist for a few weeks or so now and I thought it would be fun to share them with those who may not have heard them yet.
"What Do I Know?" - Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran is incredibly popular on the mainstream radio but this song really expresses how much we really need to love one another and how music can truly bring people together. In a constant battle with hate in the world today I think we can all benefit from this.
"When You Love Someone" - James TW
This is one of those songs I cannot relate to fully, however it has such a deep meaning I think that music doesn't actually touch on ever. You hear of breakups and hookups in songs but this is more personal. A broken family. In the big scheme of things people get divorces way more often and for kids of these situations this song could mean so much to them.
"Worst Day of My Life" - Alec Benjamin
I think this artist is one of those 'on the verge' artists, one that most likely hasn't been heard on the mainstream radio yet and really should. This song may be a little depressing but when you are having a bad day and a happy song makes you mad, this one does the trick and lets you really feel every thing you wish to feel.
"We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off" - Ella Eyre
This song does play on top 40 stations so it may not come as a surprise. However, in a culture of hookups and speeding into things we really could take something fro this because there are so many mor3e things we can do as couples that do not involve taking off your clothes.
"Ahead of Myself" - X Ambassadors
X Ambassadors is no stranger to the playlists of many. This one stays on repeat for me in order to remind myself not to get 'ahead of myself' clearly. It is best to take your time. Seeing so many people these days who are serial daters or jump the gun in many other aspects in life, this is a very good reminder to slow down and think.
Everyone has their own taste in music, and I like to think mine is very eclectic. Lately these are the songs I just can't get enough of and if you are anything like me your music choices reflect your inner thoughts and feelings. I hope you enjoy and find some deep meaning to any of these songs or even a playlist of your own.
