Now, disclaimer: this might seem like a crazy hodgepodge of random music, but this is simply a list of songs that, when I was recently going through some old playlists, I genuinely had forgotten about. These songs got me through many school bus rides, lunch periods, and sleepovers in middle school. And now that I recovered them again, I can't stop listening! Hopefully they can help rekindle the love of some favorites of yours too!

1. "Love Like Woe" - The Ready Set

This song will always be a bop. There's no denying it.

2. "Bleeding Love" - Leona Lewis

This is one of those songs you used to listen to when you were feeling sorry for yourself for all the problems you had in middle school that, looking back, weren't really that big of a deal.

3. "Cooler Than Me" - Mike Posner

This was such a good slam song back when it came out. One of those songs you sang to yourself when people at school were being mean to you and you needed a way to vent about it.

4. "Donald Trump" - Mac Miller

Who doesn't love some Mac Miller? This song can pretty much get anyone bopping their head.

5. "FourFiveSeconds" - Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney

Okay I honestly had totally forgotten about this one until I rediscovered it a few weeks ago. It was so overplayed on the radio when it first came out but it's super good now that everyone forgot about it.

6. "Gold Digger" - Kanye West feat. Jamie Foxx

I forgot about this one too, until I was watching Glee on Netflix one day and they played it. Now I can't get it out of my head.

7. "All Night Longer" - Sammy Adams

Maybe I'm the only one who remembers this one, but check it out anyway. It's lit.

8. "Pieces of Me" - Ashlee Simpson

This is another one of those sad girl middle school songs. I think I used to listen to this one on the bus ride home a lot.

9. "London Bridge" - Fergie

Okay I go HARD to this song. If you forgot about it, you're welcome.

10. "I Miss You" - Blink-182

Here's one for my fellow 90's babies. Blink-182 is so good, and once you rediscover one of their songs, you'll rediscover them all and go on a Blink-182 binge. (I know this from personal experience.)

11. "Semi-Charmed Life" - Third Eye Blind

This is one of those feel-good summertime or anytime songs from the 90s that just takes you back to a better time.

12. "Over My Head (Cable Car)" - The Fray

Everyone probably knows this one, but just in case you needed a reminder...The Fray is awesome.

13. "Just a Dream" - Nelly

This song might not have been as big as I remember it being, but it was definitely one of my favorites in my early high school years.

14. "Airplanes" - B.o.B feat. Hayley Williams

I distinctly remember hearing this song on the radio pretty much every hour when I used to listen to it during my first summer job. And that's how I know it's good, because I was never even annoyed by it. Hayley Williams has that effect on people.

15. "Bounce Back" - Big Sean

This is a classic party song that I don't think will ever get old. I think Big Sean in general will never get old.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
