12 Songs To Listen To If You're A Hopeless Romantic Like Me

In This Article:

I'm a hopeless romantic, and I am proud.

These are some of the songs that I listen to when I want to feel like I'm the protagonist of a cheesy rom-com. They're probably some of the most stereotypical or basic songs out there, but they make me happy and help chill my constant desire to have a whirlwind romance with somebody. Hopefully you can also find joy in some of them.

"Grow As We Go" by Ben Platt

First of all, Ben Platt is literally an angel sent from above and everyone should listen to his gorgeous voice.

Secondly, I really love this song because it recognizes that people are constantly growing and sometimes we grow better with someone else.

"I Love You This Big" by Scotty McCreery

I'm not a huge country fan, but I do like Scotty McCreery. I like this song because it recognizes that love can be a strong feeling even if we don't know how to express it just yet and that that is okay.

"Lover" by Taylor Swift

I'm a lifelong Swiftie, so I had to include this one. I'm so happy that Taylor has finally found someone who makes her so happy, and this song gives me hope that someday I'll find that person, too.

"Kiss Me" by Ed Sheeran

I could literally make a whole separate listicle of just Ed Sheeran songs that fit this vibe. This one is one of my favorites because it makes me feel like I'm in one of those classic rom-com scenes where the couple kisses for the first time and it's all super romantic and stuff. The music paired with Ed's voice is also just really beautiful.

"Hesitate" by Jonas Brothers

I can sense that this listicle is following a trend of artists I really like. I LOVE the Jonas Brothers.

This song resonates with me because it's about loving your partner and supporting them during their roughest times. Even though I relate to it in a mental health perspective, it is applicable in other ways too.

"XO" by Beyonce (John Mayer's cover)

I like Beyonce's original version, but to me, this one is better. It gives me the warm and fuzzy feelings.

"You Are The Reason" by Calum Scott

This song is great because it recognizes that all relationships are difficult, but you chose to stay with people because you love that person so much that your love overrides all other feelings.

"Worldwide" by Big Time Rush

Who doesn't love Big Time Rush? We needed a reunion yesterday!

Anyways, this song is depicts some of the positive emotions of a long distance relationship. It's also a major bop.

"Little Things" by One Direction

We also need a 1D reunion ASAP!

This song reminds us all that the little things about a person mean a lot, too.

I think it's also important to note that Ed Sheeran wrote this song for the boys, and so he should be considered a romance song king.

"In Case You Don't Live Forever" by Ben Platt

More Ben Platt!!

I love this song because it's all about making sure that the people that you love the most know because no one lives forever. It is a really beautiful song, and the best part about it is that it can apply to more than just romantic relationships.

"When You Look Me In The Eyes" by Jonas Brothers

I find this song really comforting because it gives me hope that someday I'll find someone that I can say when I look into their eyes, I'll know that everything will be okay.

"A Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson

This song just feels like the grand finale of my fantasy, epic rom-com. It also holds a special place in my heart because my mom always played this for me in her mini van when I was little kid. Sometimes, it even makes me miss her more.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
