The winter months can really put a damper on having healthy, glowy skin. It is hard to look radiant when your skin is dry and flaky. Below are a few of my favorite products to keep your skin looking beautiful through the harsh winter months. Some of these items get a little pricey, but I recommend you purchase the mini sizes because you can try it out without breaking the bank.

All prices below are full-size prices; therefore, the mini sizes will be significantly more affordable.

1. Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser

This cleaner is great to use about once or twice a week. The glycolic acid gently exfoliates your skin to get rid of dead skin cells that cause dry patches. It retails for around $16.

2. Philosophy Purity Cleanser

This cleanser is a great cleaner for the days you do not exfoliate! It is extremely gentle and really cleans the skin while also not stripping the skin of its natural oils. It does a great job of keeping your skin healthy. It can be bought for $36.

3. Kate Summerville Exfolikate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment

If I had to recommend only one product, it would be this one. The first time I used this I was absolutely stunned. The name does not lie because it really does its job well. After following the directions, there will be zero dead skin cells left on your face, along with your face feeling extremely smooth. It also evens out skin texture beautifully. Being priced at $85, it is a splurge item. It will last you a very long time because I only recommend using it once a week due to how intense of a treatment it is.

4. Pixi Glow Tonic

I never understood the importance of toning until I started doing it. You can purchase different types of tonics for different skin issues. This tonic contains glycolic acid also which means it will also exfoliate your skin. Glycolic acid is a great ingredient to look for during the winter months. This retails for about $15 a bottle.

5. Fresh Rose Face Mask

After all the exfoliation on your skin, you need to add moisture to the fresh skin cells. This mask is a quick easy mask to throw on for a couple minutes. It is made of organic rose and really makes your skin healthy. I love to apply this in the morning while I am brushing my teeth, before applying makeup. This mask goes for $62 full size.

6. Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm

Taking care of your eyes is one of the most important parts of skin care because they are the first to age. This eye cream moisturizes your under eyes while it also contains alguronic acid which is a leading ingredient in anti-aging skin care. A good eye cream is always worth the money because you only use a little amount each application. This one retails for around $68.

7. Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Active Brightening Oil

Adding an oil to your skincare routine is a huge moisture bonus. My favorite thing about this one is that it moisturizes, brightenings, and prevents aging all in one. I recommend applying oils at night right before your moisturizer if you want to have that extra boost of moisture for your skin. You can find this oil priced at $54.

8. Philosophy Renewed Hope In a Jar Moisturizer

This moisturizer does its job perfectly. For best results, I enjoy applying it in the morning and at night. It is really light and rich so it adds moisture to your skin while not clogging your pores. It adds such a beautiful glow to the skin if you wish to apply this under your makeup. This moisturizer can be purchased for $39.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
