With Grey's anatomy on hiatus till September 28, below are a couple TV shows you could binge watch till then. It's a great day to save lives! (And be lazy a'f).
1. Scrubs
This 2001 classic may not have all the drama that Grey's has, but it sure does pack a lot of laughs. If you're coming home from work and need a new show to binge on, you've got one in Scrubs-- plus all seasons are on Netflix.
2. Untold Stories of the ER
This one is the most different from the rest of the list, since there's no actual plot. It's a bunch of funny and sometimes gory Emergency Room reenactments. Say you're a Nursing or Medical student and you wanna hear the craziest ER stories, you've found the right TV show. You can find the first season on Netflix.
3. Nurse Jackie
Nursing Students-- please do not follow what this nurse does. This show is a riveting story about a nurse that goes through her normal daily hospital routine, just on Vicodin. This show is funny, dramatic and everything else you can find in Grey's, just with a slightly different plot and more colorful characters. Find the complete series on Netflix as well.
4. Private Practice
Y'all think that I would talk about Grey's Anatomy without mentioning my girl Addison Montgomery? This show is obviously a spinoff from Grey's, except the main character is Addison who moves to a (you guessed it) private practice. Though the show wasn't as successful as Grey's, it still is nice to see Addison as a doctor instead of the depressed mother of Hannah Baker. This whole series is also on Netflix.
5. House
House is a brilliant mother******, his words, not mine. This genius runs a team of diagnosticians in a very unconventional way. Some like him, many don't, but no matter what, he finds a way to the cure. Definitely watch the show if you're into mysteries, cause there are a ton in this one. Yet again, find the complete series on Netflix.
6. The Night Shift
I saved this one for last cause well, it's definitely my favorite. One, because I wanna work in the ER after college and two, it has just as much drama, lots of wreckage outside of the hospital (think like the episode where the ships crash and Meredith almost drowns), almost as much love triangles, and even a lot about military medicine. Fair warning, the acting in the first season is REALLY CHEESY and feels forced, but like family, they get better together. This show is still on air Thursdays at nine central time on NBC, but you can find the first three seasons on Netflix.
