3 Simple Beauty Tips And Tricks For Healthier Skin

There are so many makeup products and beauty YouTube bloggers today. Everyone is recommending different things for different face types. There are products that work better than others and some need to be combined with other things for the effect to be visible. It also depends what on if it's the summertime or winter because certain products, like sunscreen, are highly recommended during a certain time. There are many factors for why acne and scarring happen and they are slightly different for each individual because no one's skin is the same.

Here are some of the tricks and tips I have used and gotten pretty decent results from.

1. Try an Aztec healing clay mask

I must say this one is my favorite! I heard a lot about it on social media and saw many before and after pictures. The results looked quite promising so I had to give it a try. It took me a few tries to figure out the correct measurements of the clay, apple cider vinegar, and water. Since I have oily skin, I tend to put more ACV (apple cider vinegar) than water. After using this product, my scars began to fade and my pores became less red. My breakouts even lessened. Also if I did have a pimple, right after using the clay, I could already see the difference in size. I love this product because it is strong and fights your skin really well. I'd also recommend moisturizing your skin after so it does not dry out.

You can buy the clay at Target or even order it online on Amazon.

2. Ice your face

To be honest, I never knew such a small, inexpensive step could make such a big difference. Take a piece of ice and put it in a small thin towel and rub it all over your face. This especially feels good in the summer! You can do this before you put on any makeup. The ice helps reduce any inflammation caused by the acne so when you wear the foundation, the pimples will not be as visible. Ice also improves blood circulation and helps our skin become more radiant.

3. Wash your face twice a day

This is such a small task and you probably heard about it forever, but a lot of people forget to do it. It is important to wash your face in the morning because your pillow sleeve collects the germs and they rub over skin as you sleep. I know it's gross but it's true, and that's why it's so important to wash your face in the morning even if you showered the night before. And, it's just as important to wash your face at night, after your long day of activities. Oil and sweat build up on your skin and cause breakouts right away. Washing your face is a quick thing to add to your daily routine.

These three things work for my face really well. All these tricks and tips you hear or read about work differently for everyone because all our skins are different. The best way to figure out what works is to research and test it out.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
