I have been short my entire life. My whole family is short. I used to long to be tall like all of my friends. Now I just embrace my shortness. Sure, it is a struggle at times, but we are all struggling it is not just a short people problem. I have learned to laugh and joke around about being short. Here are 15 truths I have found to be true and if you are under 5'3, maybe you can agree with me:
1. People will almost always point out your height.
You hear these two phrases all the time: "Oh my gosh you are so short!" "You are so cute!"
2. Going to a concert means you will be watching the back of someone's head the entire time.

3. Anytime you go to the movie theater, you hope someone over 5'3 does not sit in front of you.
4. You look like you are wearing a shower curtain anytime you try to pull off a jumpsuit or a maxi dress.
5. Flare jeans are a no go (unless you go get them hemmed).
6. You have to walk twice as fast to keep up with your tall friends.
7. Anytime you cannot reach something in your kitchen, you simply jump and climb on the counter, hoping you do not break anything or hurt yourself.
8. When sitting in a chair, chances are your feet will not touch the ground.
9. When driving, the steering wheel is basically sitting in your lap.
10. You are constantly having to ask for help to reach something on the top shelf at any store.
11. The sun visor in your car does not help when trying to block the sun from your eyes.
