2. When your 3 tables need 14 different things right this second.

Imagine running around a huge restaurant trying to remember which table wants ranch, which one wants a lemonade, water, and 2 cokes, and which one needs more napkins.

3. When you get a huge tip you weren't expecting.

I wasn't expecting it from you, but thank you, stranger.

4. When you get asked to pick up another table when it's busy because another server called off.

The only right answer is to smile and nod.

5. When the front of house manager pulls you aside to tell you that you're doing a great job.

Your feet and back hurt, you burnt your hand, haven’t drunk water in 5 hours, but the boss man noticed you! Nice!

6. When you secretly call the hot server/server assistant/cook your boyfriend.

We’re actually married. They just don’t know it yet.

7. When a table gets overly upset about a small mistake.

I didn’t think me forgetting to give you straws was a yelling matter, but I am so sorry.

8. When you trip on something in the kitchen.

9. When you finally have 5 minutes to eat in between tables.

2 rolls with butter in 5 minutes? I call that dinner.

10. When the restaurant is finally closed.

The customers are gone, but the cleaning begins. It's a win/lose situation.
