Music is absolutely phenomenal. It varies in different forms and can connect with anyone and everyone. But don't you love it when a song is too good to be true, then a remix of it drops and it actually turns out better than before? Here are a few instances when I think some DJ's truly hit it out of the park.
10. "Cinema (Skrillex Remix)" by Benny Benussi
This song was not only a hit in the summer of 2011, but it also introduced the era of EDM and dance music to mainstream radio. This was easily heard at any stadiums or sporting events for a solid two years.
9. "Youth (Adventure Club Remix)" by Foxes
Foxes are known more for their somber music, but ironically this is one of their most successful singles to this very date. Their soft voices really emphasize the bass drops and the mixes that Adventure Club adds to it.
8. "Pompeii (Krazy Kat Remix)" by Bastille
Although the original is absolutely phenomenal, Krazy Kat created a version that was also fun and entertaining to workout to.
7. "Sleeping With A Friend (The Chainsmokers Remix)" by Neon Trees
Would this really be a quality list without The Chainsmokers on it? Another one of those songs that is fun to bump in the car.
6. "Sail (LED Remix)" by AWOLNATION
This song is already hard enough, but LED makes it so that you can grind to this tune during weight lifting and intense training sessions. Not only are these bass drops intense, but they will vibrate the entire car.
5. "Castle On The Hill (Seeb Remix)" by Ed Sheeran
It's extremely difficult to workout while listening to Ed Sheeran. Luckily, this remix of "Castle On The Hill" has those fun beats everyone needs to make their fitness routine worth it.
4. "Call On Me (Ryan Riback Remix)" by Starley
This became extremely popular on top 40 radio this past year. It was one of those rare tunes where the remix became way more popular than the original. Truly an absolute bop.
3. "Pursuit Of Happiness (Steve Aoki Remix)" by Kid Cudi
Also known as the 'Project X' song. This became the ultimate party song in the 2010's when a movie played this tune in the background while teenagers were underage drinking and doing an excessive amount of illegal drugs (which I highly do not recommend).
2. "Hymn For The Weekend (Seeb Remix)" by Coldplay
Also making it onto top 40 radio, Coldplay and Beyonce created a masterpiece that Seeb put the finishing touches to.
1. "Ignition (Remix)" by R. Kelly
Ignition made number one on the list because this is just a truly iconic song. R. Kelly did the world a favor when he decided to give this tune a second go.
