A common trend that Odyssey has been publishing lately is people trying to answer the million dollar question... "How do you know he's the one?"

The answer is.... to stop searching for the answer.

Have you ever just stopped and thought about all the good things your Significant Other does for you? Even the little things speak volumes; but a lot of the time, we don't stop to appreciate those things and focusing on the negatives only causes problems in paradise.

If you are having trouble thinking of some, I have compiled a list of actions my husband does for me. Hopefully, this will get you jump started on focusing on the positives in your relationship.... or is it just me bragging about how awesome my husband is? You'll never know.

Just remember, no relationship is the same. Something my husband does for me that I may think is romantic/thoughtful, you may disagree. And that's okay... This is just a list to get you thinking about all the things that are positive in your relationship; so YOU can answer the million dollar question, "Is she/he the one?"

1. He never leaves without a hug, a kiss, and "I love you".

Sure, I wake up at 5:50 am just to tell him bye. It’s worth it.

2. Calls me randomly just to see how my day is going.

Sometimes it's hard to answer the phone, but he knows I'll call him back when I get the chance.

3. I get extra calls when the first call mentions that it's a bad day.

Mostly just to cheer me up. This consists of an extra "I love you", "Don’t let this ruin your day", and "You’re my favorite (person in the world)".

4. When it's my turn to make dinner, he will run to the store for literally one item... We live in the middle of nowhere.

I like to think my cooking is pretty good.

5. This brings me to my next point, I am not in charge of dinner EVERY night.

Sometimes I don't get home until about 9:30 pm. Why should I have to make dinner so late?

6. He's always working... even after he clocked out for the day.

My car doesn't fix itself and our house has been under remodel longer than I remember. Even though it's freezing outside, he makes sure I'll get to work the next day and eventually we will have the most beautiful home.

7. When I have car troubles, he's the first to look at it.

Like I said, he makes sure I get to work on time.

8. He tells me I look nice when I clearly put effort into my hair and makeup that day.

Compliments from random guys I see during the day mean nothing. But the ones I get from him just flutters my heart.

9. Sometimes he tells me I look nice even when I'm still wearing my PJs.

Clearly, he's lying.... but he still flutters my heart.

10. He tells me to "drive safe."

Two words that also mean "I love you."

11. He always leaves before I do. When the roads are bad, I get a call to make sure I leave before I normally would.

Most of the time I'm still late... I'm not a morning person.

12. He reminds me to think of the positives.

I can be a Negative Nancy.

13. He supports my expensive hobbies.

Horses, dogs, animals in general. Not to mention the fact that he’s allergic to them.

14. He supports me in general.

I mean... I haven’t gotten that job promotion but one day when I do, he'll be as excited as I am.

15. He is more than willing to spend time with my family.

It goes both ways. I have pretty awesome in-laws.

16. Acknowledges when he's wrong in an argument.

This isn't easy for anyone.

17. But also tells me when I'm wrong.

Everyone needs a reality check. No one is right all the time.

18. He thinks of our future.

One day we will add more to our family... and I can't wait. But I can wait because that day is not today.

19. Creative ideas are always gone through me.

Let's be honest, I hardly ever say no. Sometimes these ideas are just something we should do. I never say no to a board game.

20. I get to take my showers first.

You best bet I'll use the hot water.

21. For the most part, he knows what I eat when we go to any restaurant.

It's kind of cute when you don't have to order yourself.

22. Picking restaurants is easy.

Chilis. He just goes with it.

22. He supports my, "I'm going to start eating healthy" even though he knows I won't.

HAHAHAHA I'm pretty sure he gets annoyed by it, but he doesn't show it.

23. My mood swings...

That should be the only thing I should have to say about that.

24. He cares about our finances.

Sometimes a little too much. It's honestly refreshing to not be the only person that keeps track of stuff like this.

25. He does everything in his power to make me laugh even when I just want to punch him in the throat.

Sometimes I just can't let stuff go. I'm a dweller.

26. He tries.

Nothing is more attractive than a guy that puts effort into their relationship. I mentioned one day (jokingly) that he has never got me flowers. Then for my birthday a few weeks later BOOM flowers.

27. He's a great dad.

Even though she's my step-daughter, it's so refreshing to see the love they have for each other and I know he will love our future kids just as much.

28. He listens to Bruno Mars with me.

He hates Bruno Mars.

29. I can text bomb him.

Luckily, he just laughs instead of calling me crazy.

30. He doesn't tell me what I should do with my hair.

I'm a hairstylist. If I come home with orange hair, he's all like, "That looks nice!"

I really hope this list helps you think of all the good things that are happening in your relationship. No relationship is perfect. There will always be bumps in the road that will make you have doubts. But, when the positives outweigh the negatives, I'm sure you'll find a way to make it work. If it's meant to be, it will be.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
