Reasons to Love St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day isn't one of the top holidays and I get it. But I honestly love St. Patrick's Day and I am not even Irish! To explain my reasoning, I thought I would make a list.

1. You have to wear green or you get pinched all day.

2. You can be as crazy and flamboyant as you want with how you wear the green.

3. Having green eyes does not qualify as you "wearing" green on this day.

4. Everything gets dyed green!

5. St. Patrick's Day is about luck, so you are thinking about all the ways in your life that you feel as though you are lucky.

6. It's associated with rainbows, the beauty of them is just too much sometimes.

7. You have an excuse to drink (even if you're not Irish)

This day can be as crazy or as sane as you would like it to be. Which is how most holidays should be, but I love this day and now as a teacher, I get to teach my kids to appreciate this day as well!
