A model who doesn't constantly edit herself is one that we all can appreciate. Who could really dislike that? She's intelligent, strong-willed, and doesn't take anyone's drama.
1. Doesn't Edit
For real, how many models do you know of that completely do not retouch their photos. Personally, that is something I love because, how can you relate to someone if they don't even look real. Not retouching is so significant in a time where so many people struggle with positive body image.
2. Intelligent
Not only is Iskra beautiful, she is intelligent! Iskra is the managing editor at Runway Riot. Runway Riot is a fashion, style, and beauty site that celebrates women of all shapes and sizes. If I see one thing I love most, it is that she is not just someone who poses for pictures.
3. Brand Ambassador
At a younger age, Iskra struggled with accepting her body, so now she is a brand ambassador for the National Eating Disorder Association. Iskra is such a caring person, and you simply could not ask for more from a brand ambassador.
4. Dropped
As stated, Iskra knows all about body struggles. At the young age of 15, Iskra was dropped from her modeling agency. She was told her hips were too wide while also being told her hips were too small for a plus size model. I bet those people are weeping now because Iskra has become such a positive influence in the modeling world.
5. Takes Criticism with Grace
When fat-shamed for flaunting her curves on social media, Iskra responded that it doesn't matter what others think-- it matters what you think. You decide your happiness. She didn't become petty; she rose above the negative comments.
6. Before and After
Iskra has shared before and after pictures, but not your typical ones. She shared a picture when she was young and much thinner but said how unhappy she was mentally. Then, she showed a picture of her now and stated how much happier she is.
7. BODY CONFIDENCE
Need I say any more?! Iskra Lawrence has awesome confidence and spreads this so quickly with people. She has not helped only me but many others truly just be more confident and live the best life.
