With all the burrito choices out there, you want the best of the best.

In the past couple years, I have fallen in love with Mexican food. I crave it ALL the time and truly love a good burrito. There are several burrito places out there, but in my search for the best of the best, I think I’ve finally figured it out. Of course, everyone has their own opinion and has different preferences for their burrito. The criteria I had was overall taste, chips and queso, and how full I felt afterward. I’ve ranked four different places from my least favorite to my favorite. So, grab some chips and queso (or if you’re lucky you have a burrito) and enjoy!

4. Chipotle

I never understood the whole hype of Chipotle. Everyone, I mean everyone, would say “Oh my goodness, I just need Chipotle." Kids from my high school would spend most of their lunch driving to the nearest Chipotle (which at the time was twenty minutes away). I mean respect, but I didn’t get it. The burrito wasn’t that great, the queso was average, and I felt completely awful afterward. My stomach ached and I did not feel good for the rest of the day. The good thing about Chipotle though is that they are a healthier option. I’m not sure I will go back, but respect if it’s your favorite!

3. Qdoba

Qdoba isn’t bad, but it isn’t good. It will satisfy the craving of a burrito, but it doesn’t go to the next level of amazing. The overall taste was okay, but the flavors didn’t mix together. I could taste the beans, rice, and meat, but separately. The chips and queso were okay. The queso was a bit too spicy for my taste and had a lot of chunks in it (I prefer my queso smooth). About ¾ into the burrito, I was so full. I wasn’t able to finish everything and felt full for the rest of the day. Overall, not too bad, but it’s not my first pick.

2. Café Rio

Unfortunately, Café Rio’s are typically only found out west. There are a couple here and there on the east coast, but if I’m craving Café Rio, I’m out of luck. Café Rio’s burrito experience is completely different. Compared to other burritos, that you eat with your hands, this burrito is so messy that it requires a fork and a knife. The overall taste is absolutely amazing. Order it enchilada style, and it will change your life. The overall taste is incredible. The flavors are strong and mix together well. The reason Café Rio isn’t my number one is the chips and queso. I find that the chips are plain and the queso isn’t my favorite. After eating Café Rio, I’m pretty full, but satisfied.

1. Moe’s

Moe’s is my all-time favorite and going there feels like home. I have found that since I’ve been back in North Carolina, I go to Moe’s at least once every two weeks. The overall taste is perfect. The flavors blend perfectly with each other, which makes the burrito even better. Another thing that makes Moe’s my all-time favorite is their chips and queso. My oh my, do I love their chips and queso. I can finish my meal without feeling extremely full, but I’m not still hungry afterward either. Moe’s is the complete package for me.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
