So watching this last bachelorette episode, I was not on team producers of the Bachelorette. I really didn't understand the point of the mid-season recap that happened in this weeks episode. I don't know if the producers told them that they needed to do it or what... but I was not a happy camper, to be honest. No hate to Hannah or what she has said out of her mouth this season which Hannah beast has truly come out and I don't mind at all.
However, I still can't get this weeks episode out of my brain. As an avid bachelorette and bachelor watcher, it is part of my weekly routine to watch the show. There is rarely ever a time that I miss an episode unless I'm at work or at a family function which is still incredibly rare (ok work scheduling me or picking up a shift may not be as rare I guess).
So for me, the recap did no justice because those were moments that I had already witnessed while I was at Anna's place eating pizza and drinking wine (for this season wine is much needed.. Luke P, I will say no more). There were even moments in the recap that we had JUST seen in tonight's episode. It was truly like watching a bad movie trailer commentary. I go to Twitter and Facebook groups to see my commentary as I watch the show, so this wasn't important at all. It defeats the whole purpose of even having the mini discussions and memes shared around online. So that was another thing that I had thought about, I for sure like being able to connect with others watching.
All in all, I just wanted to see more drama and dates in the episode. The commentary & recap could have been posted as bonus content online instead of on national tv. I still will continue to watch the bachelorette this season but if this format happens again in another season, I won't be watching!
