Having survived through another turbulent phase,
This life of mine seems to have been halted.
Again.
So, here I am, once again self-sanctioning for a task seemingly futile,
Dwelling in a mansion where the day's final scraps gleam through stained glass.

The sun rays beyond my reach,
Where the walls seem to crush me;
The floor swallowing me whole like Tartarus,
Here,
My thoughts flying by.

Fluttering like butterflies, except they broke free from their prison,
Some vibrantly tinted, some dark and wings charred,
Hope steadily seeping with pessimism;
The negativity ever eclipsing my optimism.

The numbness tantalizing to rip my veins out;
It's too much to bear,
The ceaseless incompetence taking control,
Diseased atmosphere slithering all distorted.

Alas, my pleas go unheard, dissipating into the breeze,
Me, alone and left to struggle with my common adversary,
To slay each & every bad luck is such a pain.
I am tired. I truly am.
