Poetry On Odyssey: Never Going Back Again

I ran across the sea,

I spread my wings,

I let down my hair,

I learned to fly,

I grew,

But in the end, it doesn’t matter

None of it mattered

I gave you the best nine months of my life,

And you had me fooled

You fooled me like a common court jester,

You played me like a broken violin,

And ripped out all my strings,

I thought you were best for me,

Guess I was wrong there,

I gave you everything,

I bent over backwards,

I busted my chops,

And what do I get in return...?

...disappointment

I will not be fooled again,

I don’t deserve this,

I’m tired,

I’m angry,

I quit,
