This could be one of the top crime podcasts on Spotify. This podcast is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is hosted by Ashley Flowers and co-hosted by Brit Prawat. New episodes are uploaded every week, and new cases are discussed in each one. These are cases from all over the nation and have different aspects to each of them. "Crime Junkies" covers cases that involve missing women, murdered victims, and copycat killers. If you listen to this podcast, remember, be weird. Be rude. Stay inside.
2. "Son of a Hitman"
This podcast discusses a specific case and specific hitman, Charles Harrelson. Charles Harrelson was a hitman in the late 1900s. He is the father of the actor, Woody Harrelson. In 1979, Charles was convicted and sentenced to two life sentences for killing federal judge John Wood. This podcast is hosted by journalist Jason Cavanagh. He goes into the investigation and tries to see if he can find new evidence and uncover evidence that was never shared with the public. Cavanagh talks to family members, those who were related to crimes or hits that Harrelson supposedly carried out, and those who investigated this case originally.
3. "Serial Killers"
This is a different type of crime podcast. It goes into the psychological approaches of the killers in the cases discussed. The episodes of this podcast dive into the personal lives of the killers and why they are believed to use the methods that they used. New episodes are uploaded every Monday and Thursday and dive into new cases to try and understand the killer's psychological profile and motives.
4. "Unsolved Murders: True Crime Stories"
This podcast dives into murders that have gone unsolved for years. Every Tuesday, new episodes are released. This podcast is special and it has to be started from the first episode. Some cases go into multiple episodes because there are so much to them, so in order to get the full story, the listener has to start from the beginning.
5. "True Crime Chronicles"
This podcast is hosted by investigative journalist Jessica Noll and co-hosted by Will Johnson and Spencer Bruttig. New episodes are uploaded every week with a new case being discussed in each one. This podcast goes over a wide variety of cases and crimes. It has serial killers, cold and unsolved cases, and small cases that are underreported on, but still fascinating. This podcast will allow crimes that should be reported on more to come to light. It comes up with theories about these cases and what really might have happened.
