Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the dorm
Not a student was sleeping, cause this was the norm.
Students stressed about finals give their notes a good stare,
With impossible dreams that they could be elsewhere.

With finals week on campus, I thought I'd make a list of places I'd rather be.

1. The Taj Mahal in India

2. Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA

3. Easter Island, Chile

4. Seeing the volcanic ruins of Pompeii, Italy

5. Watching Aurora Borealis in Manitoba, Canada

6. The Road of Seven Lakes, Argentina
7. Witnessing daily bat migration in Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico

8. Celebrating the Chinese New Year in San Francisco, California

9. Fawning over floating lanterns festival in Pingxi, Taiwan
10. Devouring fried beignets at Cafe du Monde, New Orleans, Louisiana

11. Trekking Machu Picchu, Peru

12. Catching a glimpse of cherry blossoms at Yoshino Mountain, Japan

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
