This past week, I took a trip to Ireland. I packed up the bare minimum (considering the lack of space my last-minute Airbnb would provide me) and boarded the 8-hour flight with my mom and my boyfriend. We were visiting my sister who moved out there this past summer after falling in love with the city during her study-abroad semester.

While we had a semi-educated tour guide on our hands, we were excited to take on the city with no expectations or preconceived ideas. We simply wanted to wing this trip.

Five days in the beautiful city of Dublin, at least 10 miles of walking every day, and a ridiculous amount of Guinnesses later, I think it's safe to say I compiled a list of the best places to visit in Dublin, especially if your time is limited like ours.

So, get cozy and get ready to take some notes.

1. Grafton Street

This lively and colorful street is truly the heart of Dublin. With live music, endless shops, and amazing places to eat, there is something here for everyone.

2. Guinness Storehouse

If you're a beer lover or even if you're not, this is a must for your trip to Dublin. Learn about the intricate process of creating the most famous beer in Ireland and even learn how to pour your perfect pint.

3. Brey

This coastal town is home to quite possibly the prettiest cliff walk I've ever seen. Take the train to this town and follow the trail all the way up the cliffs, which opens up to a breathtaking view of the ocean. A definite must.

4. Trinity College

Named one of the prettiest campuses, this is a beautiful and honestly soul-touching place to visit. Home to one of the oldest libraries and the Book of Kells, this is the perfect place to visit on a rainy day (which is almost every day in Ireland).

5. St. Patrick's Cathedral

This is a stunning cathedral that is home to many famous sculptures and paintings. It is also home to a stone that is believed to be used by St. Patrick to baptize people. A quick hit but definitely somewhere worth visiting.

6. St. Stephen's Green

One of the most famous parks in Ireland, this somewhat small but gorgeous park is home to the cutest cottages, beautiful ponds, and the weirdest part of all, birds that will literally perch on your head. These oddly calm birds will fly up to you and just chill on any empty spot on you available. If you don't have a fear of birds, then I highly recommend taking the trip.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
