First of all, I grew up with Pepsi in my baby bottle and as I grew up the taste of Pepsi has been one that reminds me of when I had no struggles and allows me to unconsciously relax.
If you have ever had to do a "what's in my state A-Z book" in Elementary school then you would understand that my mind was always on Pepsi because I am a North Carolinian so before any other letter, I did 'P' first and filled the rest in later. North Carolina ins the Birthplace of Pepsi and being able to drink Pepsi where it originated makes me love and appreciate it even more.
Second, I grew up watching TV and my favorite singers were sponsored by Pepsi one time or another in their career. In 2004, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Pink were in a commercial for Pepsi where they dressed as gladiators and sang "We Will Rock You." Now Pink was such a strong woman figure to me growing up and when I found that she did this I thought she was so tough, similarly, Beyonce was the icon of beauty and Britney of fame. I just couldn't help myself and then a year later, in 2005, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez starred in another Pepsi Commercial and kicked some *ss!

More recently, this year's Super Bowl commercial, 2019, was met with love when Cardi B walked in a Diner to make sure customers drank Pepsi and that was more than "ok." The fully bedazzled can of Pepsi was so beautiful and I wouldn't argue if someone handed me a fully bedazzled Pepsi but I think I will leave that as more of Cardi B's personal preference. Cola has a taste that after 2 swallows sours my tongue and upsets my stomach. All in all, my body rejects the existence of Cola.

Not to mention, I never see any commercials about Cola that makes me want to drink it. I see little videos but they don't appeal as much as Pepsi does. Pepsi stays on top of their game and has revived their slogan over 30 times because I feel like they realize that times change and we all need some new energy in our life. I don't blame them though because every year the trend is changing and they feel the need to change with it too shows their awareness of Pepsi fans and know what the people like and what will get them to at the least be interested.
And if you are like me and love Pepsi and Asian culture then you probably already know that 2 years ago, one of my favorite K-pop/Chinese singers Jackson Wang was everywhere when it came to Pepsi.

Last year, superfans and normal fans even came together and celebrated Jackson's birthday early and got together to worship the talented Jackson Wang with cake and of course, Pepsi! The support is so amazing and to think that they were able to express and support him in every way possible was amazing.
