You would do anything for your best friend, right? You would pick them up when they need a ride, or buy them ice cream after they've been dumped. Would you swim 5,000 miles for your best friend?

Dindim, a Magellanic penguin from Patagonia has been swimming 5,000 miles every year to visit his best friend Joao Pereira de Souza on an island off the coast of Brazil. For 11 months in 2011, Souza took care of Dindim. He found the small penguin covered in oil and starving. He brought Dindim back to life and in return, Dindim visits and stays with Souza for eight months out of the year.

Souza loves Dindim like his own child, even though he's a penguin... He is also the only one Dindim will let touch him. If anyone else raises a finger towards Dindim he will peck them. The pair naps together, and Souza gives Dindim showers and sardines to eat. When Dindim has finished his stay with Souza in Brazil, he simply walks down to the beach and swims away, only to return in a few months. To see Dindim and Souza BFF it up, check out this adorable video from the Wall Street Journal.

So the next time you tell your best friend you would do anything for them, think again.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
