A Path Through Studying For Finals

Finals week: a time of little sleep, lots of stress and unpredictable brain power.

By the time the end of the year hits, students just want to get the learning over with and head into summer, a time of sunshine and good times.

But before we get our freedom from classes, notes, reading and exams we must finish of with our final exams and projects. (because just a test isn't enough, I also have to write a paper and do a group presentation right before that to "apply my knowledge")

And to prepare for all of these lovely exams, papers and projects we have coming around the corner, we study of course because we are great students who want to pass and move to summer time.

Here are 9 Memes that describe the process of studying for finals:

1. Finals Are Around The Corner

Realizing Finals week is next week and you have 3 projects, 2 papers and 5 finals due next week...so of course you go out with your friends and start a new series on Netflix, just to prepare yourself for all the stress you have already created.

2. Motivation

Finals are important to say the least so studying is a no brainer; if only you can find your motivation.

3. Time Management

When you realize how much time you have to study, but remembering you have to work around your naps, social life, shows to catch up on and food you need to eat. With all the stuff going on there is almost no time at all to study.

4. Setting Goals

Eventually you find some time and motivation and start setting goals for the effort you will put into your studying. Remember all you need to do is pass.

5. Mastering Subjects

Sometimes the late night or early morning crash sessions make you feel like an expert. The knowledge usually lasts long enough to take the final, then who needs it anymore!

6. Opportune Studying Moments

Planning the best time to study is important. Like later when Im done with this episode, or after I take this BuzzFeed quiz on which Harry Potter character I am, or after reading an article about studying for finals. Eventually it will happen, all this is just preparation.

7. Giving up... Kinda

When you get to the point where you have studied and you feel like your brain is melting so you are ready to throw in the towel. But after realizing the badass life you want that starts with graduating college plus all the work you put into the class, you realize that you kinda need to pass.

8. Being Prepared

You've reached the point where if you look at your notes one more time you think you might be losing information; your just not sure if its because you are ready or because you are so far gone. Either way, time to move on.

9. Here We Go...

At last the time for studying is gone and its time to put all that knowledge to use. Even if you are nervous at least when its over you wont have to study anymore. So go out, put all the studying and information to good use.

So get to studying so you can get go confidently and crush those finals! You got this!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
