Sincerely, A Passionate Person

Someone point me to where the law states that signs of passion can be criminalized.

Sincerely, A Passionate Person

More times than not I have been told to, how do the millennials these days refer to it? Oh yea, how could I forget, "chill."

If the coming generations do no obliterate this word from their daily conversations, I'm going to have to speed up the process of humans moving to Mars — because that is where I plan to move.

Constantly, I find myself having to hold back feelings and words simply because I feel as if I'll make those surrounding me uncomfortable. How strange — having to shorthand my thoughts because I worry too much about others' feelings more than my own. Crazy.

Whenever I love a movie, a book, or a piece of writing, for example, I want to talk about it...frequently. I want to convince others to love it just as much as I do. I describe the subject as if it were something out of this world — as if there was nothing in the world that could possibly compare to it. That is, until I find a new subject that I fall in love with and, like with the previous subject, feel as if nothing else could compare.

My friends and family can vouch for me on this one. I use phrases like, "that's the most beautiful thing in the entire world!" or, "that's the funniest thing you have ever said in your entire life." Daily. And of course, I get it...how could everything be the most beautiful thing in the world? And didn't I already say that the comment made yesterday was the funniest thing in the entire world? Couldn't I just refer to comments and things as beautiful and funny and leave it at that?

I wish I could, but believe me when I say that in the moment, I do, truly, mean exactly what I'm saying. I do truly believe these things are the best of the best.

Hey, maybe I just have "mom goggles" on and put everything on a high pedestal. But what's so wrong with a little bit of passion in a — sometimes — dull world? If you're someone who isn't very passionate, then just let the passionate people, be. They are the people "with a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about something." Or so I heard from Merriam Webster.

If you are a passionate person, I love you like I have never loved anyone else. Keep being overly passionate and unapologetic about it.

PS: The photo I haven chosen for this article is a photograph of the iconic Iris Apfel, whom I find to be exceptionally passionate.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
