To My Soul Sister Who Is A True Blessing In Life

To My Soul Sister Who Is A True Blessing In Life

Dear Soul Sister,

Thank you for giving me the relationship that was needed with someone who is younger but is going through some of the similar things that I have. I know we may not exactly be blood-related, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t view you the same. I know that we may have different parents and siblings, but no matter how out of place we feel, we always have each other.

Thank you for making me feel less alone and more normal in terms of having a somewhat dysfunctional family and brother. I never thought that I would be able to gain someone like you in my life, especially as a sister figure. I always thought I would be alone in the fact that we both don’t have anyone to talk to about our problems, and how were not close with anyone specific in our families.

Thank you for helping me make decisions when we were in Florida, from everything from simple workouts to which outfit is cuter, to even helping me choose out (and do my) makeup. Remember when we were getting ready to go to the Daytona 500 and I couldn’t figure out which outfit was better to wear in the sweltering heat all day?

And you couldn’t decide on the perfect shoes to compliment your outfit, so I gave you my sandals (which ended up killing your feet sorry! But at least you looked cute for meeting Kevin Harvick).

I feel like we're both a bit of a blessing to each other because I help you try not to make the same mistakes I have, yet we’ve always had similar experiences. Our personalities are so closely-related, it’s a wonder we're not actually blood-related.

Thank you for always having my back, when I have had nobody else. Thank you for giving my advice when my problems are similar to yours, despite our age difference. Lastly, thank you for loving me and never getting too angry or frustrated with me, you’re a true blessing in my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
