To Those That Still Believe

For those who still believe that goodness will win, and love will prevail.

To Those That Still Believe

To Those Who Still Believe,

Speak with passion and dignity on this fiery earth, in which we hold truth in ourselves. Present grace and poise in our affections of this world. Walk forth with humble footsteps, and journey far to find great destiny. Fight with love and not hate; encourage peace and not war. Do not fret the rainstorms for the sun will prevail. Do not fear evil for goodness radiates. Rise. Rise again. Rise again and again and again. Do not concede. Do not succumb.

Rise.

Rise louder each time.

Shakespeare said "Yet do thy worst, old time; despite thy wrong/ My love shall in my verse ever live young." We stand at utmost potential with unwritten stories beyond us, and the tide of time will not consume us. The glorious gift that brings us to life will not decay our minds. We will flourish, and we will bring forth a brighter day, as love becomes our strongest force of retaliation. The natural world will not condemn the natural heart.

Do not fight with anger. Do not kneel so low to the dirt on the ground. Allow the garden to bloom before cutting down the weeds.

Give time, for it is our closest companion and greatest foe.

Give patience, for alliance trumps discord.

Give hope, for closing a door before entering a room removes acceptance and opportunity.

Give discipline, for troubled thoughts may only be reciprocated when conveyed through troubled actions.

Be calm for the storm has yet to proceed us, but do not concede to the belligerent terror. And never flinch when severity strikes, instead paint the sky with passion and dignity and truth and grace and poise and love and peace. In natural life we are not born to hate, we are born to love, and we are given the time to exude this voice.

Forgive those conformed to evil. Forgive those too weak to rise. But never forgive those who act on hatred, and obliterate peace. Rise above those people, and fight in love. Fight with goodness in heart and clarity in mind. Only now do we contest to the fire in the street. Only now do we rise.

Sincerely,

Those Who Will Not Tremble

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
