Ever watch those romance movies and actually believe them? Well, I'll be the first to admit I did. Sometimes all we want to do is give someone we love a second, third, or even fourth try, but we just end up hurting ourselves. Why do we, as humans, believe all that mushy crap these days? Well, there may never be an answer for that despite my numerous efforts to find it among my Netflix buddies Serena and Blair, ("Gossip Girl" always helps). The hurt won't really go away overnight, but I can tell you that we're going to get through it together. Hopefully, I can give courage to those who can't speak up on their own. I know I was in your shoes for the longest time... Shoutout to love for completely blinding us!

To the Guy Who Broke My Heart...Again,

Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me. I honestly should have known better than to put myself back out there for you because I thought something was going to be different. I thought that you were going to fall as hard for me as I did for you once I trusted you, and for what? You treated me like I was just an item, shame on you... You gave me nothing in return for all my kindness; even after showing my full support right through your last season of lax. You gave me nothing but false hope and fake promises. I was glad to support you at the time but I shouldn't have... If I recall, you were the one that asked me to stay.

Thank you for teaching me not to give my time to ungrateful people like you. You fully know that I tried everything to keep just a friendship, but I suppose as Drake once said, "I'm too good for you." Through the mind games, and lies, I learned how to cope with insane amounts of anxiety, so thank you. I cared about you immensely, so much so that I even made sure you were OK without your knowledge. That's what sucks most, you have no clue the things I did for you behind the scenes. Always making sure you were OK and safe to your own worst enemy.

I never really appreciated songs that weren't pop and rap, but I'm a new lover of artists like Adele who seem more like a friend to me than you ever will be. I wish I didn't have to call you out like this, but hopefully, you can take this as a wake-up call and treat people the way you want to be treated.

As we go our separate ways, I suppose some memories were worth it. The memories were few and far between but thanks for the rollercoaster ride through hell. I wish the best for your future and studies. Wherever life takes you, remember how important your friends are and treat them with respect, and a lot at that. They do more for you than you really think and that's exactly what you missed in this friendship. What's really sad is that I'm still being the nice one in this poor situation, I guess you've officially missed your last straw. In the wise words of Adele, "Send My Love to Your New Lover."

XOXO,

(Gossip Girl... Just Kidding)

Sincerely,

The One That Finally Got Away... For Good

P.S. It feels good to finally be able to, "Tell him boy bye"... Thanks Beyoncé!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
