We all know that what it's like to go to a family gathering and be confronted by people you didn't even know you were related to and get bombarded by questions. What year are you? What's your major? What do you plan to do with that? Why are you going into that? It's tough to answer these questions even if you know exactly what you want to do when you graduate. However, its even more difficult to answer them when you have no idea what you're going to do. Some people assume that because you chose a major, that you have a dream career and have goals for your future job. That's not necessarily true.

People will learn what they are passionate about and want to do for the rest of their lives at different times. Some will know as soon as they enter colleges, others may have to search a bit longer. Finding a perfect career is an ongoing life process and sometimes what you study in school doesn't have anything to do with what you end up doing for a career. I know many students (myself included) who have declared a major because they enjoy learning about that subject. They find the courses they take interesting and would love to work with it in the future, but they don't know if they will or what to do in that area.

Not everyone has a dream career. But just because we don't know what we want to do with our careers, doesn't mean we don't know what we want to do in life. Maybe you have goals such as raise a family, travel the world, or just simply be happy no matter what you end up doing. Whether you're a freshman or a senior, you have time still to figure out what you want to do after graduation passes. It may be terrifying and you may feel pressured to make a decision right away on what to do. Don't get me wrong, we will all most likely deal with terrible jobs. But, they are stepping stones to get us to where we want to be.

You will figure out one day what your dream career will be. Whether it comes to you late at night while watching television or you get a job to support yourself and it turns out to be an amazing one that you could picture doing for the rest of your life. Get out in the world and get some experience, learn new things, and meet new people. These are the best things to do in order to find a job you are passionate about. Good luck out there while searching for your dream career and have fun doing it because you can't let the present pass you by while you're busy worrying about the future.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
