Trust me, I'm not complaining.

We all know about One Direction, whether or not you like them it up to you.

I have spent a good amount of my time dedicated to loving them and learning all of the words to their songs. Recently, I have noticed that those words that I have been singing for years, and the meanings behind the songs, might not be as PG as parents once thought. For a band that was all about being a heartthrob to young girls, their music sure wasn't really aimed at them.

1. Live While We're Young

Sure it sounds like a good summer anthem but it talks about throwing a wild rager. And did you miss the part of "don't let the pictures leave your phone?"

2. Kiss You

It may be some cute lyrics about kissing somebody but it says, "so tell me girl if everytime we touch, you get this kinda rush, baby say yeh... If you don't want to take it slow and you just want to take me home, baby say yeah."

3. Rock Me

Literally, the title alone says what the song is about. "I want you to rock me, rock me, rock me, yeah... R-O-C-K me again."

4. Little Black Dress

Yet another song about taking a woman home and watching the way she will move it for him.

5. Little White Lies

"Backseat of the cab, we're in the cab now. Lips getting so attached, they're so attached now. You wanna make some rules now, cool, then we'll watch them break tonight. I know what you want, and I've been waiting so long."

6. Better Than Words

"Best I ever had. Hips don't lie. You make me wanna UFF one more night."

7. Why Don't We Go There

"If you give in tonight, just let me set you free. We'll touch the other side, just give me the key"

8. No Control

The whole song is about not having control around a girl. "Waking up beside you I'm a loaded gun. I can't contain this anymore, I'm all yours, I've got no control." And it continues on from there.

9. Change Your Ticket

"Watching you get dress, messes with my head, take that bag off your shoulder. Come get back in bed, we still got time left, this don't have to be over." Why do you want her to stay longer? What were you doing in bed?

10. Perfect

It's just a big invitation to be friends with benefits. Don't believe me, "I might never be your knight in shining armor. I might never be the one you take home to mother. And I might never be the one who brings you flowers, but I can be the one, be the one tonight."

11. Love You Goodbye

At first, you think it is going to be some sweet song, which it is, but it's totally about break-up sex. "Oh, why you're wearing that to walk out of my life? Hey, hey, hey. Oh, even though it's over you should stay tonight. Hey, hey, hey. If tomorrow you won't be mine, won't you give it to me one last time? Oh, baby, let me love you goodbye."

12. Temporary Fix

Another great song about being friends with benefits. "You can call me when you're lonely when you can't sleep. I'll be your temporary fix. You control me. even if it's just tonight. You can call me, when you feel like, I'm your good time. I'll be your temporary fix. You can own me and we'll call this what you like."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
