My Dearest One Direction,

The last time you all performed together on one stage was two years ago, on December 12th, 2015. You were praised by musical colleagues and friends and encouraged to have a lovely break and come back refreshed and better than ever. You have all said at one point or another that you “promise” this isn’t the end of One Direction or that this will only be “a break, around 18 months or so” and I’m here to tell you that I need some indication that y’all are coming back because me and the rest of the world are starting to become skeptical.

As I write this, we are on day 731 without you guys, but who’s counting?

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve been loving the solo music you’ve been releasing. You’ve all gotten to try out the things that you’re interested in and carry goals out on your own terms. I’m so proud of the albums and singles all four of you have created. You’re all still as talented by yourselves as you were as a group and you deserve all the recognition in the world.

Maybe someday one of you will actually get a Grammy nomination and they’ll stop snubbing you guys every single year just because you come from a boy band. Overall though, being able to hear each of you individually, killing it as solo artists, really reinforces how glad I am that I’ve chosen to love and support you guys for the past five years.

But just because I’m proud of your solo work and I bop to all your new stuff doesn’t mean I’m over One Direction.

I am, and always will be your biggest fan. Also, one of the biggest reasons I want you guys back as a group is because my bank account cannot continue to support four solo acts consistently. You’re all putting out music and doing stuff at the same time… soooo why don’t you all just come back together and make things easier on my wallet, my heart, and my schedule?

Another thing, if you guys never tour your last album, “Made In The A.M.” I will be so so so upset because that album was one of the best ones you ever put out as a group. I will not allow those amazing songs to be disrespected and forgotten. JUST COME BACK, OKAY?

I say I’ll be upset with you boys if you don’t come back soon, but let’s be honest, I will never stop loving or supporting you guys. I will always be shelling out ridiculous amounts of money for music, merch, concert tickets, and whatever expenses that might come up along the way. I will be the first person ready to buy tickets as soon as you announce your next tour and I will also probably keep tearing up on the daily every time I think about you guys.

You have changed my life in so many amazing ways over the past five years and I wouldn’t trade a second of the time or a penny I’ve spent on you boys for anything in the entire world. I love you guys to pieces and I can’t wait for the reunion tour. Just hurry back soon, yeah?

Sincerely,

A very sad, very needy One Direction fan

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
