The obsession of "True Crime", most people would think when it comes to these types of books, movies and tv shows that men would be the ones that are more drawn to it. But that's not the case more women then men will watch true crime, and it can be anything from, murder, sexual assault kidnapping, and various other crimes.

So why are women so obsessed with it, well women love to get into peoples heads and want to know what made that person do what they did. Men, on the other hand, are more likely to watch or read about war.

More and more tv shows are coming out about true crime, one of the most popular was last years true crime story on "Making of a murder" and "The Keepers" on "NetFlix". this was one of Netflix's most popular shows last year so they renewed it for a second season.

It just seems that people can not get enough of all the mayhem, there are more than just tv shows and movies, there are even true crime podcasts, and there is one popular one called, "Wine and Crime" which is hosted by three women, which they report they get a half of million downloads a month, and 85% of their audience is women.

There was a study done by Professor Amanda Vicary. She wanted to know if it was true if women liked true crime more than men and if so why? Her study showed that men were most likely to read and watch things that dealt with war rather than crimes. And when it came to true crime violence it was mostly reviewed by women of all ages.

The study showed that women love reading and watching about the inner workings of the killer's mind when the victim is a woman and the whole psychological aspect of it all.

The conclusion of her study, she said that she felt that the reason why women are more drawn to true crime is that they are more about the survival aspect than the crime it's self because they fear they are more likely to be the victim than a man. And they want to learn how to prevent the crime before it happens.

Most of the content that women read about the psychology of the killer, how to survive an attack, both men and women don't read a lot about sexual assault

But how I see it is not all women fear this, and just simply love getting into someone's head just to learn, and I am one of those people, I want to know how that person thinks and what made them do it, did they get bored lack empathy or was just completely mentally unstable.

People tend to watch things that are relatable, and that's the sad thing that true crime is relatable because it happens every day. we are also fascinated by evil for some reason it's a thrill ride to read or watch it keeps us on the edge of our seats. And we want to solve the mystery as well.

But there are other people that think that society has just become so obsessed with a true crime that it is now becoming a natural fascination about subjects like murder and rape, and because of this, we can't look away.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
