We took a trip to the mountains. Swept away by the beauty and magic the fall wind brings, I made a photo album.

I. September 29

12,569 feet up, this is our view. I see the heavens from here and its peaceful.

Willow, who nearly threw herself into airport traffic coming to see us.

Driving. Theres a lot of this.

Pretty Place, NC:

Where you get to stand on top of a mountain-

iust you, the trees, wind, and beauty. I prayed a lot while we were here- I repeated the Prayer of Peace & Equality over and over on a loop. I wonder if it worked.

My freckles drove me crazy, and my lips were purple and chapped. It was horrible- I forgot my chapstick.

At base camp, aka "Grannie Annie's" house: Willow walking around knocking everything over.

Downtown Brevard: They have the coolest shops and cutest clothes- if you had a spare $500.

Grannie Annie's Neighborhood: On a walk by myself... I got lost.

II. September 30

Grannie Annie's House: Morning.

Brevard Forest: Theres a large part of me thats thankful theres no cell sevice in the forest- the distractions and temptations of social media are non-existant. Except for when you get lost and can't call for help.

My sister became a professional photographer and hiker over the course of a day- stopping to look at leaves and take pictures of the dirt. It was annoying, yet somehow comforting to see a child appriciate nature as much as she did.

Post-Hiking: Going home.

III. October 1 (Happy Spooktober)

DuPont Forest, Sc: Professional Hiker and Photographer makes a comeback.

Willow came along for this hike. She loved it.

I stranded myself on a rock to get a picture of the bridge. OOppss.

10000x time stopping so she could take a picture.

This is when everybody started to regret hiking up the mountain.

I was so confused by the barriors- people walked right past them. #0FucksGiven.

I wanted to take a nap on the rock I was sitting on and let the mist hit my face. My legs were Jell-O at this point.

The Canteen, SC: Perfect place to grab beer, and only beer- thats the only thing they sell- after a hike. Dog-Friendly though...

IV. October 2

St. Petursburg, FL: We took the stairs off the plane and I felt like royalty. But also sad, because it was warm and didn't feel like Autumn at all.

These pictures were taken with an iPhone 6s.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
