Last night I was talking to my Dad and I asked him a question. "If I brought something from Adidas, how would you feel?" Basically, he said "Don't even talk to e if you buy something from there." Mind you, my father works at Nike, so of course he would give that response. Yet, as I think about the purposes of Adidas and Nike, there should not be a competition, because they are not the SAME THING!

I know what your thinking, they are the same category, but if you really think about it, they are not. Let me explain. Adidas is for fun. Nike is for run. I know it sounds corny, but its true. My dad worked at Nike for about three to five years. I picked up a few things as he brought home amazing clothes and shoes from Nike. Nike is for athletes. Why do you think celebrities such as Lebron James, Serena Williams, or Stephen Curry are sponsors? ATHLETES! They are all athletes. The clothes is athletes material. You work out with them. You train with them. It's made for you to be active. Their sneakers do the same thing. Nike believes that if you are active, your an athlete. Why do you think their number one for best active clothing? Nike is for run.

Let's talk about Adidas. Adidas is for fun! When I look at clothes from Adidas, their clothes are AMAZING! Especially the black and white track suit! One of my best friends has the black and white track suit. When I look at the suit, I wouldn't work out with those clothes. Those are simply just to wear as a fashion statement. Adidas is number three in best active clothing. That's because their clothes aren't meant to exercise in. Their simply a fashion trend. Especially when special celebrities teams up with Adidas to release their line. That's when the popularity comes in. Previously said, Adidas takes over the trend of fashion meets active. But, the fashion overpowers it.

When I see both companies, here's how I compare. In a active way, Nike is the best. In a fashion way, Adidas is the best. If anything, I like both of them. They both show character. They both show beauty within the clothes. To everyone who keeps comparing the two, they are two different categories! When you keep fighting which is better, Adidas and Nike will still make their money. Let's appreciate that they are still in this generation. Without either of these companies, will athletes still be athletes? Will fashion emerge more in this generation? In that case, stop comparing them. Matter of fact, buy both! You will realize that it doesn't matter which brand you represent, as long as you represent yourself in your own way.

And if your wondering why I created this article, it's because Beyonce' is releasing her Adidas and Ivy Park collection on January 18th, and I will definitely be buying her sneakers!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
