I have seen people talk about how this year was going to be different for them. The reality is that most people have already dropped their New Year's Resolution. Instead of making promises we can't keep to ourselves let's just try new things and see how much better it makes us.
1. Try a new hairstyle.
We all have that hairstyle we wish we could pull of. Go for it. Your hair can always grow back or you can get the color fixed if you don't like it.
2. Read a book.
Take time to relax and enjoy time to read. Taking time to sit during a busy lifestyle is very important.
3. Take a day trip.
Gather your best friends and pick somewhere within 100 miles to take a day trip to. New towns have so much to explore. Also, the car rides are always fun.
4. Start a journal.
This will be so rewarding at the end of the year when you can look back at all that happened. You don't have to write a paragraph. You can write in list form or whatever works for you.
5. Delete social media for a month.
This will change you, haha. The first week will be difficult, but after that it is so rewarding. You learn to live without worrying about what to post or what others are doing. It will free up so much time.
6. Buy a homeless person food.
This is so rewarding for them because they get a meal, but also for you because you get to make a difference. You'll be so happy that you could help someone.
7. Bake a new recipe.
Go on your Pinterest board of recipes that you never make and actually make one! You'll feel accomplished and full!
8. Go to bed 2 hours before normal.
Sleep is so important. Most people don't get more than 5 hours of sleep. You'll feel so refreshed the next day. Also, I recommend putting your phone away from your bed so it doesn't distract you.
9. Buy yourself flowers.
Treat yo' self. You deserve it.
"New year, new me." Let's turn that into a reality. It's not too late.
