New England is known for its rocky beaches with pure sand making if the perfect place for a summer getaway. However, the winters in New England are brutal. Thus, summertime is the season to travel to the beaches in New England and every beach town experiences these 10 things:

1. Tourists

Whether they're for the day or months, tourists bring business, accents, and big cameras to small beach towns.

2. Lobster rolls

The lobster in New England is superb and lobster rolls are a staple. Hot or cold, you can not go wrong.

3. Beautiful sunsets

Hey, perfect for Instagram.

4. Renters

Kind of like tourists, but they try to fit in more with the locals.

5. The journey of boats to the water

Around Memorial Day Weekend, all the boats start appearing up and down the New England Coasts in different harbors.

6. Jeep season

A jeep is the ultimate beach car.

7. Preppy boutiques/clothes

It is almost like an unspoken rule that everyone dresses somewhat preppy in New England. I mean, it is where Vineyard Vines was founded.

8. Freezing water

Let's blame the brutal winter for this one. Water below 60 degrees is not uncommon.

9. Clam chowder

Yummy, another New England summer stable.

10. Unforgettable memories

Summers at the beach in New England are some of the best memories.
