When it comes to the end of a school year, every student has mixed thoughts. Some are happy, some are sad, and some are just downright stressed. This is an example of my thoughts over the course of a few days.
Known most famously for his role as John “Plato” Crawford in "Rebel Without A Cause," Mineo made his way into the heart of women everywhere. With innocent eyes and the cutest baby face around, he was sure to make ladies melt.
Who doesn’t love a man who can dance? Gene Kelly tapped his way to the top of the “dapper gentlemen” list with his musical comedies like "An American in Paris" and "Singin’ in the Rain." His energy and comedic timing made him super likable and his killer smile made him to die for.
Dear Atticus Finch, you were the cat’s meow. From "The Snows of Kilamanjaro" to "To Kill A Mockingbird," it was hard not to fall in love with Peck’s smooth ways. It didn’t hurt that he won the Presidential Medal of Freedom for being an awesome humanitarian. Can you say, sweet?
If you wanted romance, Rock was your man. He quickly became the Ryan Gosling of the '50s with movies such as "Pillow Talk" and "Giant" (as in, with Elizabeth Taylor). Wouldn’t you fall in love with a face like that?
A younger generation may remember him from the Ranch dressing packets at McDonalds, but women of the '50s remember him as a gorgeous, Cool Hand Luke. With a beautiful face and even more beautiful personality, Newman was an absolute heartthrob.
Before he was the Godfather, Marlon Brando was the dreamy boy from the wrong side of the tracks in "On The Waterfront." Every girl wanted their own, personal Terry Malloy. I mean, wouldn’t you?
Not as well known as the other men on this list, Mr. Clift was a definite class act. He was quite a rarity in Hollywood as he did not sign with any major company until after his first two films were highly successful. His looks were slightly changed after a horrific car accident; however, he still had the ability to make women of the '50s weak in the knees.
Old Blue Eyes. Even in 2015, Frank is still allowing young couples to fall in love with his timeless voice and talent. However, more than his smooth song, his handsome looks had women everywhere wanting a closer look at those famous eyes.
The quintessential bad boy. If you love anyone with a rebellious nature in today’s Hollywood, know that it stemmed from this man. From his simple smile to his stern stare, Dean knew exactly what it took to be a heartthrob, even if he didn’t want to be one. But with a face like that, he didn’t exactly have a choice.
Two words: Hip movement. The King of Rock rolled right into the homes and hearts of teenage girls everywhere. The hair, the dimples, the smile: Everything was perfect.
Thank God for men, and thank God for the 1950s.
Anyone that has seen movies or celebrates Christmas has probably seen this before. In the scene, Charlie Brown is struggling to find out what Christmas is all about. From aluminum trees to bad actors, it makes him ask the question, "Isn't there anyone who could tell me what Christmas is all about?" His best friend Linus and his "trusty protective blanket" then take to the stage and ask to dim the lights. He then recites Luke 2:8-14:
"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the LORD appeared to them, and the glory of the LORD shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. "I will carry out great vengeance on them and punish them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the LORD when I take vengeance on them.'"
Now, this isn't what is exactly said, however, the actual quote reads:

It's still just as badass.
GiphyBesides being arguably the greatest war film of all time, Saving Private Ryan is packed full of great bible verses. In the last battle of the film, Jackson is sniping in a bell tower. As he starts to shoot, he cites Psalms 144:1-2:
"Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. 2He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me."
Fury follows a 5 man tank crew during the second world war. In this scene, Boyd "Bible" Swan cites Isaiah 6:8:
"Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
Andy, after having his cell searched, strikes up a conversation with the corrupt warden. The warden is a believer and they discuss their favorite verses. Andy's favorite passage is Mark 13:35-37:

In 1975, Escobar began developing his cocaine operation in Colombia as well as his smuggling routes into the United States. A year later he was arrested, along with some of his men, for possession of 39 pounds of white paste. It was during this time when Escobar’s pattern of bribing or killing authorities began, when he tried to bribe Medellín judges who were forming the case against him, and when that did not work, he had the two officers killed and the case was dropped.
Escobar was a man that was feared by many. He exuded his power in the way he carried himself as well as how he took care of his business. Due to a rise in the demand for cocaine in the United States, it was estimated that about 70 to 80 tons of cocaine were being shipped from Colombia to the United States every month.
Escobar developed smuggling shipments, routes, and distribution networks in South Florida and California. An island called Norman’s Cay located in the Bahamas became the new trans-shipment site for distributing their cocaine. Escobar and his cartel co-founder Carlos Lehder worked together to build and establish the island as the perfect location to grow their business.
In addition to using planes to transport their product, Roberto Escobar, Escobar’s brother, said that Escobar at one point used two small submarines to transport their larger shipments into the United States.
Aside from The Medellín Cartel controlling a large portion of the drugs that entered into the United States, the cartel also controlled a portion of the drugs entering Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Spain. It is even rumored that his cartel reached as far as Asia at one point.
With an estimated net worth of 30 billion US dollars, by the early 1990s, Escobar is the wealthiest criminal in history. He was also at one point, one of the 10 richest men in the world.
With gun shots to the leg, torso and a fatal shot through the ear, Escobar was finally captured and killed by the Colombian National Police on December 2, 1993. It is rumored and said by Roberto Escobar that Escobar had committed suicide, and shot himself through the ear.
Multiple movies and TV series have been made about Escobar and his life. "The Infiltrator," the most recent film made, focuses on the capturing of Escobar. The film hit the big screen July 13th and has made 8.5 million dollars in the box office.
The film features Bryan Cranston as Robert Mazur, a United States Customs special agent who goes undercover with the alias, "Bob Musella" to help bust Pablo Escobar's money-laundering organization during the 1980s.
"The Infiltrator" has received positive reviews from credible
sources, including Rotten Tomatoes with about 100 reviews equaling to a rating
of 68 percent.
The fascination followed by the facts behind the life of "The
King of Cocaine," Escobar, leads to entertaining films and TV series, as
we see with "The Infiltrator." I highly recommend treating yourself this summer to this suspenseful, action-packed film.
