It's a hot summer day and you are standing at the front of an ice cream shop, anxious to place your order. As you look through the glass freezer, you are overwhelmed by the endless amount of flavors and topping options. You finally order your all-time favorite, go-to flavor and are happy as a clam with your ice cold treat.

Believe it or not, your favorite ice cream flavor says a lot more about you than you will ever know. Does it mean that you are smart? Outgoing? Courageous?

Here's what your favorite flavor of ice cream says about you!

1. Vanilla

You're basic but in the best way possible. You always know how to handle any situation thrown at you and you typically never second-guess the decisions you make. There is never a time that you want to be alone. You are the most comfortable when you are surrounded by others and find joy by socializing with all different types of people. You are motivated, driven, and successful, and you never let anyone or anything get in the way of your goals.

2. Chocolate

You are as sweet as can be. You find that the simplest things in life are the most beautiful and enjoyable. Negative situations often make you second-guess yourself, yet you never let them affect you for too long. You are kind, genuine, and get extreme joy out of giving to others. Your laugh is contagious and so many people love to constantly be in your presence.

3. Strawberry

You are the life of the party! Being out and socializing is what makes you the most comfortable and this is when you really feel like your true self. You are spunky and optimistic. Even though you enjoy having fun, your work always comes before anything else. You don't like to be a planner. It easiest for you to handle a situation as soon as it's in front of you. You try your best to be organized but have a hard time succeeding at it. You love being outdoors, engaging in activities, and endlessly living life to the fullest.

4. Mint chocolate chip

You are indecisive but that's only because you always expect the best. Your strong personality is what makes you so successful and capable. You can do absolutely anything you set your mind to and you do not complete a task unless it is done with 100-percent effort. You are a very serious individual and never carry any emotions into your work. People really respect who you are as a person due to the fact that you are reliable and sophisticated.

5. Any flavor, as long as it has nuts or chunks

You are one of the most loyal people. You are thoughtful, observant, and are such a team player. Everyone goes to you for advice and trusts you with their deepest secrets. You are vibrant and insightful when it comes to every aspect of life. You truly value the people who love you and appreciate all that they do. You are known for your down-to-earth personality. You always know the right thing to say and when to say it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
