Songs for Sweater Weather

Fall is finally here, and the weather is finally starting to get cooler outside. Fall is my favorite season for several reasons, but one thing I love is how it symbolizes change and reflection. I'm also a big lover of music and my playlist changes with my different seasons of life. Here are some softer songs and artists that I'm currently listening to and attempting to play on the guitar:

1. Taylor Swift

I like a lot of songs from Taylor Swift's new album, "Folklore." She definitely breaks through with more of a folk/indie style, but her lyrics are really deep, meaningful, and beautiful. I love to write poetry, so I'm bound to love a good songwriter. Some of my favorites are "The 1," "Invisible String," "Mirrorball," and "Hoax." Also, you can't go wrong with her early songs.

2. John Mayer

I love John Mayer's soft tone and style. My favorite songs are the classics: "Say," "Half of My Heart," "Heartbreak Warfare," and "Free Fallin."

3. "Sweater Weather" by The Neighborhood

The name says it all…

4. Some Kinda Sad, But Good Ones…

These are some more indie artists, but I love the instrumentals: "Nervous" by Gavin James, "Mind Over Matter" by Young the Giant (acoustic), "July" by Noah Cyrus, "As It Seems" by Lily Kershaw, and "Bloom" by the Paper Kites (my favorite song to play on the guitar ;)

5. "She Will Be Loved" and "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5

These are some old ones, but I love them.

6. Christian Music

Some of my soft favorites include "Fall Afresh" by Bethel Music (acoustic version), "Salt and Light" by Lauren Daigle, "What a Friend" by Josh Garrels, "So Will I" by Will Morrison, and "Another in the Fire" by Hillsong

7. Sleeping At Last

He is a Christian artist with some really amazing vocals, beautiful lyrics, and crazy artistic instrumentals. He literally has a song for all of the planets and enneagram types, so check it out.

8. Lofi Beats

YouTube is my friend for fall lofi.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
