For most, you read a quote and you don't really ponder it. You don't really give a second thought... I always read quotes and I see a whole world of ways to explore their meanings. I always love to read quotes about music. I love to wonder what they mean. Hopefully you will read these and think the same thing! Take a dive into what these influential voices are saying and make your own opinions. Maybe we think the same?

GiphyLet's be real for a moment... most of us resort to music when we are feeling low, or having a rough day. But, have we also considered cats? I know too many people who just want to snuggle with their cat to feel better. If you add some music to that equation that sounds like a pretty great mix.

GiphyAh, there is is... one of the most commonly heard music quotes out there. I love this quote so mucn though, for it makes so mucn sense. If you think about it, we often listen to music and play music when we want to say something but not with our words. Personally, as a musicican, playing a piece with expression, allows me to say something without words. It’s beautiful if you think about it.

GiphySo often we forget that music originated all over the world. But no matter what is happening throughout our world, we all have one common language. Music is a common place for everyone to be together and share something special with no social, political, or economic gaps. Just people coming together to play something meaningful.

GiphyPersonally, I agree here. I would much rather express my voice with intracate melodies than words on a page. To me, music resonates feelings on such a higher level than words do. We have always been moved by music as it reaches our whole body.

GiphyAs a musician, playing for others is a large part of what I do. I play for the joy of playing. I don’t care if you don’t want to listen, you came to listen for a reason. I hope you leave with a lasting impression. Whether it be a melody, or rhythm that sticks with you, I hope I spoke to you. I’m not playing for you. I am playing for myself in hopes you understand what I am saying.
