This week I decided to come home from college for a few days, and it has already been so relaxing for the 12 hours I've been home. My dad came to pick me up last night and we didn't get home until about 10pm, which is fairly late. During the car ride home, I always like to play to music. Music always helps to pass the time, fill some awkward silence, and helps to keep you entertained during the ride. Here are some of my favorite songs to play on a long car ride.
The Spins by Mac Miller
This song is such a jam! Especially since I was driving home to Pittsburgh, it only felt right to play some Mac Miller on the way home. This song is so upbeat, and just radiates good vibes, its the perfect pump up song to drive to!
Come On Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners
Come On Eileen is one of my go-to songs currently. I have always wanted to create the school dance scene in Perks Of Being A Wallflower to this song, it looks like it was so much fun to dance to. This song is catchy, upbeat, and an easy sing along song for anyone!
Rock the Casbah by The Clash
This is one of my dad's favorite songs of all time. He always talks about it, and he was so happy I put it on last night! He sang almost every word (which doesn't happen too much), and it was such a fun song to listen to!
You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) by Dead Or Alive
As soon as this song came up, my dad almost immediately turned up the volume, he was so excited. The 80's had a lot of very odd and experimental music, and this song is exactly that. It feels like its all over the place, but in the best way possible!
Talk by Khalid
Khalid is such a soothing artist to listen to, I usually listen to him while I'm studying, but when I'm in the car with my dad, I always make sure to play at least one song by him. The beats are calming but still upbeat, and all of his songs just radiate good vibes.
