9 Movies To Indulge In 2018

Forgot about New Year's resolution, new movies is where it's at. What else can I go waste my money on and enjoy it? That's right, movies. And the delicious goodness of movie theater popcorn. I always try my best not to eat it all during the commercial's but fail every time and end up with half a bucket when the movie FINALLY starts.

Anyway, with a New Year, come's new movies. And there's nothing better than NEW MOVIES. Which ones are going to be a hit, which ones will be a miss? WHO KNOWS! Whether the movie ends up be fantastic or just horrible, here's a list of some movie's to go watch at your closet theater.

1. "Avengers: Infinity War"

Set to release on May 4th, this is intended to be a sequel to Marvel's "The Avengers" (2012) and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015). The Avengers join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy crew and join forces to defeat Thanos from putting an end to the universe.

2. "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom"

I love and have seen all the Jurassic film movies, I'm a sucker for them. Set to release to June 22nd, former park manager, Claire Dearing founded an organization dedicated to saving the dinosaurs. She ends up recruiting her former co-worker Owen Grady to help save the remaining dinosaurs on the island.

But like all the former Jurassic Park films, things take a turn for the worse.

3. "Solo: A Star Wars Story"

Set to be released on May 25th, this film is a stand-alone of the series. The film is suppose to be set before the events of the original 1977 film following young Han Solo and Chewbacca on their adventures before they joined the rebellion.

4. "The Incredibles 2"

MOVE OUT OF THE WAY KIDS, I'VE BEEN WAITING 84 YEARS FOR THIS INSTALLMENT.

This famous family of superheroes is back June 15th, but with Helen in the spotlight (HECK YEAH) while Bob is stuck at home with the kids. With the family still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's superpowers, and a new villain, the family teams up with Frozone to save the day. What could go wrong?

5. "Deadpool 2"

Ryan Reynolds is back as everyone's favorite character on June 1st. Wade Wilson is struggling to fulfill his dream of becoming Poughkeepsies's most celebrated French Bulldog breeder. Searching to find his passion in life, he battles ninja's, metal men and babysits a group of side characters as he travels the world.

6. "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again"

The movie just finished wrapping up, and it's set to release July 20th. There's not much out yet on what the sequel will be about BUT I loved the first one so, I needed to included this. But what we do know is that the same characters are returning with some new ones, including Cher (which I'm pumped for). It picks up where it left off and also shows parts of the movie from Donna & The Dynamos in '60s.

Get your ABBA songs ready because there's about to be A LOT more of them.

P.S. This GIF is basically me when I finally finished my finals.

7. "X-Men: Dark Phoenix"

Set to release November 2nd, Jean Grey begins to develop powers that turn her into a Dark Phoenix. The X-Men will need to decide if the life of their team-member is more valuable than the rest of the citizens in the world.

8. "Pacific Rim Uprising"

Releasing March 23rd, this film is a sequel to the 2013 sci-fi "Pacific Rim". Set in the year 2035, it follows the aftermath of Breach's destruction and the revival of pan Pacific Defense Crops and Jaeger Program.

9. "Black Panther"

Releasing February 16th, "Black Panther" is another superhero film from the Marvel comics. Being a sequel of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain American: Civil War", it follows King T'Challa returning home to the reclusive Wakanda to serve as the leader of his country. But finds himself being challenged for the throne.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
