This past week, I dropped $60 on a video game I knew next to nothing about: "Monster Hunter World." I only watched an hour or so of gameplay on YouTube before quickly falling in love and deciding to play the rest on my own. I didn't want to spoil any more than the intro for myself at that point, so I pulled myself away, sat down in front of my Xbox One, and went right to the online store to purchase a digital copy.

It took a couple of hours to download, but once I made my character and was past the tutorial part of the game, I was in deep.

I've never played "Monster Hunter" before and I've never really had much interest in it. It was cool, sure, but I couldn't see myself getting into it besides watching others play it on YouTube.

I'm not sure what it was about this particular release that caught my eye, but boy, I'm glad it did! Although your character doesn't have a voice (which I am a little bummed about, being spoiled from "Fallout 4," which was the release that finally gave your character a voice for the first time in the series), that didn't bother me for very long. I selected my weapons (dual blades, baby!), grabbed my adorable Palico friend, and ran out into the wilderness, ready to hunt some monsters.

Although the game is meant to be enjoyed with friends in a cool co-op hunting experience, I've only been able to play solo up to this point, but I'm still having tons of fun. I get thrilled and even scared when different monsters pop up, especially ones that are way too tough for my character to defeat at the level she's at (I'm talking about the gigantic and terrifying Rathalos)!

I can only imagine how much more fun it'll be when some friends join me along for the journey. I'm excited that this is a game I actually crave to play, because, usually, I lose interest fairly quickly if a game isn't something really special.

If you've never seen anything about "Monster Hunter," I'd suggest checking it out if only for the heck of it! It's out on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, with both digital and physical copies for the latter two consoles. The game is Capcom's fastest-selling title, which is so incredible, and I'm happy to be a part of this magical moment in Capcom's history!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
