Yes, Minnesota is absolutely freezing in the winter, but it is still so beautiful! Are you a Minnesotan who is bored and broke this winter? If so here are seven fun things to do in Minnesota during the winter months.

1. Go sledding

Sledding is a fun activity for any age in the winter. Don't have a sled? Make your own using an old cardboard box and a kitchen garbage bag!

2. Play broomball

Go find your local lake with a few friends and old broomsticks and a tennis ball. You don't even need ice skates for this one!

3. Go ice skating

If you have an old pair of ice skates laying around, go to your local rink or lake!

4. Build a snowman

This may be a little cliche, but it is fun. With living in the snowiest state, there will be plenty of snow to go around.

5. Have a snowball fight

Who doesn't love throwing snow at their friends?

6. Wake up early and watch the sunrise

There is nothing prettier than the bright orange sunrise reflecting off of the snow and the clouds in the winter.

7. Go to your local museum

Take your local transit and become a local tourist.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
