Even though I'm obsessed with women's fashion, that doesn't mean I don't love menswear too! I get most inspiration by dressing my brothers, which is always a fun time. When I walk through campus, I love noticing collegiates' sense of style. I pay attention to small details and trends which helps me understand what college students want to wear. The amount of overused and underwhelming outfits on students is excessive on campus. Sometimes I ask myself, "Did he or she just get out of bed and go to go to class?"
Dress appropriately for the day. I know it's tempting to throw on the first thing you see, but make sure to check the weather first. You never know if it dropped 20 degrees overnight. I know college is tough, everyone, but I promise you that when you look good, you feel good.
1. Jeans, jeans, jeans
I love jeans. I can't say this enough. A good pair of nice-fitting jeans automatically makes someone look more put together. Ditch the basketball shorts and wear a pair of jeans for the day. It's a better and classier look. I promise.
2. Chukka Boots
This relates back to my first point. It's always a good idea to pair your jeans with some suede or leather chukka boots. They're comfy and casual yet sophisticated enough to wear on campus. Ditch the beat up Sperrys and the flip-flops and wear these shoes at least once or twice a week for a "professional" look. If I spot some chukkas on campus, I'll be very impressed.
3. Joggers
I can't get enough of these pants. If you wanna have a lazy day, joggers are the perfect pants to wear. A bit nicer than sweatpants, and they're tailored but just as comfy. Best of both worlds.
4. Sneakers
I'm all about dope sneakers. I might have a little bit of an obsession. Adidas, Nike, or really any sneakers make an outfit look so much more sporty. They're a must in college for any day of the week and look great with joggers. If you have a hilly and big campus like I do, your feet will thank you later for the comfort and support.
5. College Apparel
I knew I couldn't forget this on my list. Who doesn't love some school spirit? This is a must. The easiest and most popular outfit seen on campus. There's no question that everyone will love your outfit.
6. Athletic Gear
No matter where you go to school, you'll always need athletic clothes in your closet. This is a go-to for me in the morning. Comfortable, fashionable, and cute. I wish I could wear this every day of the week.
7. Baseball Cap
Another must for anyone who wants to rock the sporty and casual look to class. There are so many affordable hats out there that you'll be able to find one almost anywhere. If you're having a bad hair day, wear a baseball cap. No one will even realize it. This is honestly one of the best things about these loyal caps.
