Graduation is only a short three months away, and my belief that things will stay the same is starting to fade away. However, this doesn't mean I'm not prepared for change. Since I've started school everything I have done, where I have worked, what I have learned, and the projects I have created geared me up for this moment.
In high school I knew I wanted to be a filmmaker, but as a journalism major that dream job has evolved for me and I would consider myself most happy in positions of marketing for entertainment. I hope that with these next steps I don't lose touch with what I have as writing skills, because I love writing and creating fresh content. I can be anywhere in the world and only need a laptop and some coffee to create over and over again, like I was outside Old Town Scottsdale in the photo above. Writing in public is not only a better form of escape but also meditative. On the other hand, in entertainment marketing I can continue working within the film industry and eventually host my own conversations with movie stars, award winning filmmakers, and production crew members.
The future is within sight and I can't wait to wake up to the first step toward my dream job after graduation.
