We have all heard the infamous quote from the beautiful and wise Audrey Hepburn: "Happy girls are the prettiest". And I don't think she could have said it any better!
You could have the most flawless skin, luscious hair, perfect bikini bod, and dream wardrobe but if your heart doesn't match all that's on the outside your beauty means nothing.
I think the prettiest thing is someone who can smile through all the hardships they've gone through.
Someone who even after a long, hard day can still laugh and radiate positivity in a group of people.
Someone who doesn't sulk and pout when something doesn't go their way.
Someone who can make the best out of any negative situation.
There are countless situations throughout the day that could make for a bad mood. An argument with a friend, a bad grade, traffic, you name it. To be able to look past the negative, smile through the bad times, and focus on the happy in life is what makes someone beautiful.
I have met plenty of people in my life that have everything on the outside. Guys and girls that are physically attractive but their hearts and personalities can truly turn them ugly.
Even if a person doesn't initially catch your eye as being physically attractive, sometimes their personality can draw you towards them in a way that goes beyond the physical attraction.
As easy as it is to get caught up in the pressures of looking perfect, focus on working on your heart first. The energy that radiates from a kind heart and genuine soul will shine far more to people than your outer shell.
