10 Ways 'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again' Is Millennial Girl Goals

"Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" hit theaters last weekend and has been a success in both the box office and the hearts of the fans of its predecessor, "Mamma Mia!" Both a prequel and sequel, this film explores how Donna came to live in Greece and how she met Sophie's three potential fathers. In the present, Sophie has fixed up Hotel Bella Donna and is feeling closer to her mother, who has since passed. I would be lying if I said I wasn't tapping my foot to every song and wishing I was the fourth member of Donna and the Dynamos.

Here are all the ways that this movie appealed to me as a millennial.

1. When Donna and the Dynamos threw off their graduation robes and sang “When I Kissed the Teacher.”

Why settle for a stuffy graduation ceremony when you can sing an Abba hit while riding your bikes around the city?

2. Escaping your standards and expectations by throwing a suitcase together and heading to Greece on a whim.

Regular people are fine with treading the beaten path, but not Donna. Heeded by her gypsy spirit, she felt as though she belonged in Greece and packed a suitcase and just left. We all wish we could do this TBH.

3. Having two spunky and supportive besties to confide in.

Tanya and Rosie don't even mind being the sidekicks and essentially living in Donna's shadow. They support Donna when she decides to go to Greece, when she decides to stay there, and when she deals with her heartbreak from Sam. They also help make up Donna and the Dynamos, which is honestly friendship goals.

4. Can we talk about young Donna’s wardrobe for a second?

Young Donna's adventure is set in the late '70s, and her wardrobe is everything. With her bell-bottom pants, striped rompers, and high-waisted shorts, I wish I could raid her closet.

5. Being serenaded by a man in a Parisian café with help from the waiters.

Did she love Harry? No, and I didn't really care for him either. BUT his impromptu singing and dancing gig in the café had both Donna and I smiling. Who wouldn't want this to happen at least once in their life?

6. Sailing on a boat with a stranger and having the time of your life.

It's not really safe to ask a stranger for a boat ride in a foreign country, but maybe it's OK when they're really cute?

7. Relishing in your newfound love in an old farmhouse.

Young love, an old farmhouse, and the mystery of a foreign land are apparently the ingredients to happiness.

8. Heartbreak, because it happens.

It's kind of a millennial rite of passage to go through — and conquer — a painful breakup. Plus, the flashback scenes helped me understand why Sam and Donna's connection was so special and why they ended up getting married in "Mamma Mia!"

9. Donna and the Dynamos singing again in a café in Greece.

As a part of the conquering the breakup thing, lying in bed with a box of tissues wasn't enough for Donna. She seized the moment by donning yet another fashionable outfit and singing in a café with her besties. What a queen.

10. Living on a beautiful Greek island for the rest of your life.

Perhaps the best part of the whole story is that Donna found her home and lived on a beautiful island with her daughter for the rest of her life, which is such a millennial thing to do.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
